Sound Recording Workshop at Zaagkuilsdrift Lodge: 21-24 September 2026

Join Birdlife South Africa and the Cornell Lab of Ornithology for a 4 day/3 night sound recording workshop as part of the Big Year of African Sounds. This workshop will cover recording techniques in the field, how to record with a cell phone using Merlin and eBird, sound recording equipment, and sound editing. More than just a training event, this trip will generate valuable sounds recordings for the Big Year of African Sounds. You are invited to apply whether you are an experienced sound recordist or a birder that is new to sound recording.
